Hydro's Circal 75R alloy is one of the most recyclable * alloys on the market.Currently, hydro has signed construction contracts with companies in several countries to use Circal 75R alloy. These include Kuwait, Germany, France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Norway.
In 2018, hydro launched the new Circal 75R aluminum alloy. The alloy is made up of at least 75 per cent post-consumer waste, including the removal of external walls and Windows from buildings.Hydro completely recycles the waste and implements a circular economy.
Circal 75R alloy is one of the materials on the market with high consumption waste *.The higher the amount of waste recycled after consumption, the lower the carbon footprint associated with the life process, thus ensuring that hydro's customers are in a unique advantageous position.
EgilHogna, President of hydro extrusion solutions, said: "our structural clients, looking for more sustainable solutions, want to be at the forefront of one of the great challenges of our time."
Currently, hydro's building systems brand Technal and Wicona have signed the first batch of contracts involving hundreds of tons of aluminum.
In Kuwait, hydro provides aluminum walls for a large government project, while hydro has also signed medium-sized projects using Circal 75R with Germany, France, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and Norway.
What these clients have in common is a very high level of sustainability driven by regulation and green building rating programs.Hydro fills the gap with Circal75R.
Hydro is one of the companies within the aluminium industry concerned with sustainability. With the integration of extrusion solutions in 2017, hydro has become one of the key players in the global construction industry.Hydro's building systems business is involved in Wicona, Technal and Sapa.Circal 75R is just one of a number of initiatives to meet sustainability goals, as well as hydro's other initiatives to optimise the sector, which is also involved in the renewable energy industry.
Hydro provides high quality recycled aluminium products with a minimum of 75% recycled post-consumer waste.Hydro's manufacturing process is fully traceable and the product is certified by an independent third party (dnv-gl).
Under the eu's sustainable development goals, all new buildings in the eu must be zero-carbon by 2030, and all buildings must be zero-carbon by 2050.With the looming climate crisis and tighter regulation, the aluminium industry needs to adjust. With Circal 75R, hydro is pushing builders and architects to achieve * high sustainability goals.
